Tree Peony ‘Luo Yang Hong’
- This flamboyant plant is named after the city of Luoyang in Henan province and boasts large, deep magenta semi-double flowers with golden stamens, up to 25cm wide
- Tree peonies flower earlier than other types, blooming from April to May
- A hardy shrub with permanent woody stems, tree peonies can have more than a hundred flowers on one mature plant
- Beautiful in borders, containers or even informal hedges
- These long lived plants are easy to grow and have larger flowers and taller stems than other peony types. They don’t die back in autumn, but stick around all year
